Back to school parties

The start of the school year is an exciting time for children – but it can be embarrassing if they can’t afford school bags and stationery. Then they have to borrow from classmates, leaving their poverty exposed.

But thanks to back-to-school parties thrown by Citi Property, Deloitte and JHB Junior and Mini Councillors, 300 children started the school year with bright new backpacks filled with stationery like scissors and glue. The three companies donated 100 backpacks each, and the children were over the moon. We extend our sincere thanks to these companies for their kindness and compassion.
