Message from our Chairman

It’s easy to feel disheartened by the negative news and statistics that are pumped out at us each day. Statistics that show, for example, that one third of children under five in Gauteng are suffering from stunted growth, as a result of chronic malnutrition.

Yet despite the challenges, I feel optimistic about the future of our country. I’m proud to be part of an organisation that’s doing something to help children reach their full physical and intellectual potential.

And by supporting ACFS, you too are doing something to turn back the tide. ACFS provides nutrient-dense peanut butter sandwiches and milk to more than 10 000 children each day throughout our seven feeding centres and two mobile feeding vans. We’ve also established food gardens and skills development programmes to ensure the long term sustainability of our centres and beneficiaries.

So let’s focus on the positive, and see what a difference we can all make, simply by taking on the responsibility of feeding one child in need. Thank you!
